A common reason given for not being able to commit to an exercise routine is lack of time. The misconception is that you need to spend hours training to get benefits but this is not the case. To increase fitness levels and therefore improve general health the general advice is to achieve the following:
FREQUENCY – minimum 3x per week, aim for 5x
INTENSITY – 60-80% of your maximum workload
TIME – minimum 30 mins, aim for 45 mins
TYPE – cardiovascular & resistance exercises
You don’t have to join a gym to get fit, doing a short workout at home could help you achieve the frequency of activity required to improve health.
Could you do 15 minutes in the morning & evening at home?
Or a 20 minute session every day?
There is plenty of equipment available that you can use at home to help you achieve the frequency, intensity, time and type of exercise required to get fit and healthy without taking up too much time.
Workoutkit like the Kettlebell, ViPR, Core bag or Medicine ball can be used for a short workout at your convenience to achieve more in less time than you thought.
